Omaha Nebraska, WTF? 12 pics. possible 56k problem.
Ok. . I've talked to several members from the site and when I tell them where I'm from (LaVista, NE), I usually get something like,
"NE? New England?". .
Or
"NE? Northeast?"
"Ohhh. . NE, Nebraska, do people actually live there?"
Anyways. I decided to show everyone some pictures that I ran across and also post some links so that you can learn more about where I'm from and some of the things that we have here, etc. . Not that anyone cares much, but I'm bored and ya never know, this might interest someone.
First, LaVista is a suburb of Omaha it's located about 20 miles west, southwest of downtown Omaha Omaha is that town that you'll see on the map if you look at the Nebraska, Iowa border right along the Missouri River.
I'll start out with some pictures of downtown. These pictures are kind of old, you'll notice the large building that is being built in these pictures. Since the time of these photos the bulding has been completed.
So those are some pictures.. Here are some links to some other things that we have here.
Omaha's History
Nation's Largest furniture, electronics, and appliance store.
A top 10 zoo
Official Omaha website
Tourism info, in case you are interested..
More tourism info for Nebraska
Stereo West - The local car stereo store, hack shop, and home of the "Worlds Loudest Room".
Home of the NCAA College World Series of Baseball
Anyways. . That's just some info on this area. There is more, but I'm tired. I'll post more things as I think of them, and add some of my own pictures soon. .

LMAO...I can see that! lol
Anyone that lives in the U.S. and thinks NE stands for North East or New England should be shot on the spot. That's just basic, ELEMENTARY, geography!!! C'mon people! lol
Oh well, it's all good.
