Xtd clutch kits
Xtd clutch kits
good day all, going to be upgrading my clutch and flywheel soon, just wanted some opinions on all the kits available online.
I have a B16 small turbo, getting about 165 trq, 250 hp.
in the ads im reading looks like stage 3 or 4 is what the company is suggesting I go for but that sounds like way to much,
this is my (on nice days) daily driver and dont want a sore leg,. I figured stage 2 was plenty.
getting the light flywheel as well.
thx in advance,
I have considerd the XTD stage 2,,,

Re: Xtd clutch kits
A stage 1 exedy clutch is good to 187ft-lbs. Stage 2 is good to 217ft-lbs
Stage 1 will be most daily driveable friendly. Anything with a higher torque capacity than stock will have a stiffer pressure plate, for sure. Going from a stage 1 to an OEM clutch made me think I had a hydraulic leak somewhere because it felt so light

Re: Xtd clutch kits
never heard of XTD before. Quick search, and 95% terrible reviews on them. That's all I'd need to not go with that clutch. I'd rather spend more up front and get something quality than risk it on something like that. Clutch fails, you're going nowhere unless you start pushing.
