exhaust system help needed!!!

I have a 97 civic dx and im trying to upgrade to exhaust system from stock but i dont know how big i should get the piping should i go 2.25? 2.50? or 3 inchs but i dont want to lose power anything would b appreciated thnks!!!

if your running a stock motor no boost or tune no bigger then 2.25
