New Exhaust Is In But Too High? Jerry Rigging Help!
New Exhaust Is In But Too High? Jerry Rigging Help!
I bought a cheap *** catback exhaust system online for my civic and it is all put in but the top of the exhaust near the shiftlinkage is hitting the shift linkage. so shifting is crap because I have to lift up the shifter before I can switch gears. any ideas of how to shove maybe some piece of pipe in there to push the exhaust down lower to make it not hit the shifter and have it stay? is there maybe a part out there that does such a thing? any input is greatly appreciated thanks!

Your first mistake was the cheap *** exhaust...but why not bring it to a shop to get it bent properly? wouldnt cost too much...

hmm i didnt know they could do that. im not made of money so its either cheap *** working exhaust and new sticker or loud stock exhaust and no sticker. when i stack up some money i may do that but right now i shoved a piece of dryer exhaust under it and its working great.
