should i remove the catalytic converter in my civic i have been told its a good upgrade to do and if so what decat down pipe should i put in ?

most of us have no idea how is the emission control in ireland, so be careful and read the laws before taking cat out. (edit: thinking about, better make sure that this portion is actually serious )


also, get some mouse traps since you not going to have a cat anymore.

reminder that engine will never "purrrr" anymore after the cat is gone.

x2 check emissions laws. i live in flarda, we dont have emissions or none of that california global warming rubbish so i get away with it. I use one for autocross as street modified requires you to have one. but on the street i run a resonated test pipe i got on ebay for $25. if you can get away with it, it should give you a small mpg (liters per kilometer in your case) boost especially if it is clogged. dont expect miracles though.

well, be sure to check for ECU reactions to the lack of cat. Defouler was the name?
It might not react well, not sure of the 6th gen, but the 7th gen have computers that are smart just enough to know the cat is not working as it should...

im a 6th gen owner and I know our computers are dumb enough to not really care if its there. The MIL will light up but nothing a little bit of removing can't cure.

To the OP, if you dont care about emissions, then take that ****** out mate.
