Hey guys, I am new here, but not really new to the Honda Civic. My little knowledge is of OBD1 5th gen Civic's, I dont know too much about obd2 or 6th gen Civic's. Right now I drive a 5th gen Ex coupe with z6 with i/h/e suspension etc... that I had dreams of making faster and building, but the past couple years after my daughters birth I have kind of seperated from that dream, and now would like a slightly newer Civic that gets better gas mileage. I was thinking of possibly selling my lightly modded 5th gen Ex coupe and trying to find a nice stock 6th gen Hx coupe with d16y5 vtec-e.

Is it possible to bolt on an oem d16y8 exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and Ex or Si factory catback exhaust while retaining the 5-wire o2, vtec-e/leanburn fuctions? If so, what, if any, are the differances between the ej8 ex y8 coupe cat, and the em1 si b16 coupe cat? Differance between ej8 ex coupe factory catback exhaust and the em1 si coupe factory catback exhaust?

Also, dont the 6th gen Hx's have two o2 sensors? Are both pre and post cat o2 sensors 5-wire, or is the pre 5 wire and post regular 4 wire?

What all would I need for this setup other than the y8 exhaust manifold, ex/si cat, ex/si catback and new gaskets? Would I need o2 extensions? Extensions for both o2's or just the pre or just the post?

Ok, well I think I may have found a little info regarding the y8 exhaust manifold on to dx/lx/hx civics. But I cannot find any info regarding the Ex y8 oem catalytic converter and catback exhaust, and the Si B16 oem cat converter and catback exhaust. Basically I want the best oem exhaust manifold I can bolt up to the y5 hx (which would be y8 according to what I've read), best oem cat converter and best oem catback exhaust, but dont know if the Si B16 cat converter is the same length and bolt pattern as the Ex y8 cat, and dont know if the Si B16 oem catback exhaust is the same length and bolt pattern as the Ex. Which oem cat converter would be best to use, the Ex y8 or Si b16 cat? I'm assuming the Si exhaust is slightly larger diameter and flows better, is the same true about the cat converter?
Will I be able to bolt the Si exhaust onto the Hx if I have the Ex y8 exhaust manifold and cat?

Will a 2000 Si b16 coupe oem catback bolt onto a 2000 Hx y5 coupe if using a 2000 Ex y8 coupe exhaust manifold and catalytic converter?

Will a 2000 ITR coupe oem catback bolt up to a 2000 Hx coupe with 2000 Ex y8 coupe exhaust manifold and cat converter?
