Would a K20A (2002+ RSX-R) fit in our cars?

the engines physical size is the same the real difference between the K20A and thge K20A2 is the internals. both engines will fit into an LX since they have the same amount of room as the EX which to my knowledge is the only trim level thats had the swap done

I beleive it was an EX manual that HASPORT did the swap with. It's in the Dec(?) issue of Honda Tuning. I have that mag, but it's at home and I'm at work right now. In any case, it'll work. But if you have an automatic (like I do) it'll be harder.
Thanks! I'm just worried about the total amount of money I'll spend for the swap. The engine will still be available within the next 2 years, right? Hehe!

not totally sure yet Azure, itll cost more than a race shop but ill be under warranty and itll be done right, access to all tools, i would try a DIY but swaps are as easy, i want to make sure its done well.
how much total is your dealership going to charge you for the engine and labor. i am just curious cause i can get it done from a performance shop for like $4500-$5000 total, that is with the type-s engine though.

It should be, its lighter.... all of them
RSX-s weighs, 2767 and has "officially" 200 HP. thats 13.835 lbs per HP.
Civic Coupe (manual) WIth RSX-S drivetrain
EX weighs 2554 with 200HP thats 12.77 LBS per HP
LX weighs 2474 with 200HP thats 12.37 lbs per HP
HX weighs 2436 with 200HP thats 12.18 LBS per HP
DX weighs 2402 with 200HP thats 12.01 lbs per HP
Civic sedan (manual) with RSX-S drivetrain
EX weighs 2601 with 200HP thats 13.005 LBS per HP
LX weighs 2513 with 200 HP thats 12.565 lbs per HP
DC weighs 2449 with 200 HP thats 12.245 LBS per hp
so yes all of the civics with the RSX-S drivetrain should beat an original RSX-S
But the best platform to do the swap in is the Civic Coupe DX. while the worst is Civic Sedan EX.
of course this aint nothing, a friend of mine races 125cc shifter karts, and he calculated that he's pushing about 6 LBS per HP. now thats fast.

i'm doing the jdm k20a swap. My shop is charging me 6500 for the engine and all the components needed, 2700 labor. 9200 out the door. However I am gonna see if I can get everything i need for a better price and see if they'll do the work, since 6500 seems a little steep. What do you guys think about the 2700 labor charge?
btw, I have an auto ex, so I'm assuming it will require more labor?
