Would a K20A (2002+ RSX-R) fit in our cars?

Rep Power: 0 Well, $2700 is better than $4000. I would think $2000 is about right for labor. But yah, it's probably because your car is an automatic (more labor). But definitely keep us updated, especially since yours is an automatic. Good luck on your swap!

Rep Power: 0 That was probably my fault. I think I made it sound as if you were swapping the engine and keeping the auto tranny. What I meant was that it would be more labor because they would have to change your auto to a manual also. I mean, we would have to get parts for a manual and put it in our auto as well.

Rep Power: 379 dam 4,000 and 2,700 just to take our your old engine and put a new one in? it shouldn't be that much, just because its a new car and new engine doesn't mean it has to be more expensive, labor shouldn't cost more than a g.

Rep Power: 350 I would love to do it myself but there are too many things you have to take into considerations with a swap from a JDM engine to an USDM car. i would rather have it done right the first as far as engine codes, cooling problems, ecu tuning etc.

Rep Power: 350 you can get them froma junkyard or honda parts sotre. YOu need the SI radiator ours will not keep that K20A cool enough to run properly and ther subframe from the SI so things will fit properly. You will also need the hubs from the SI, then various other parts. About 1500 in parts from the SI if purchased new. Prolly half that if purchased through a salvage yd. If you decide to go the RSXs route and get a lug conversion itll be higher. The cost of the swap and part should run about 3500 + the cost of the engine and tranny. There is also some rewring needed for the ECU as well as a custom AC lind. The ECU from DC5s cvar was shipped to bypass the theft deterant system.

On the other hand, changing the transmission parts that are located inside the car's cabin is not as much trouble as you'd think.
