Thumbs up JET Ecu and HP Header!!

Wsup peepz! Itz been a long azz tyme since I posted some sort of tidbit on here...I just wanted to let yall know that my next upgrade to my car in the next 2 months will be the JET ECU and the Stainless Steel/Chrome HP 4-1 Race Header with High Flow Cat. That should definitely be a huge plus as far as my car goes.

Prices go as listed from what I was quoted and emailed:

JET ECU Chip - $279.99 - $299.99

I've been to numerous websites that sell the JET ECU and came up with that range. Claims on the JET Chip website show that our Civics pull an additional 8-10 HP. And yes, you do have to use 89 octane or higher to get the most out of it. KJGRACING sold his some time ago, but he can tell you what kinda difference he felt.

HP 4-1 Race Header with High Flow Cat - Stainless Steel/Chrome - $260 Ceramic - $300

Horsepower claims on the forums have been 6-9. I emailed HP Racing directly and one of the customer service reps replied back with those quotes. His name is John Tai and I can give you guys the number. Just PM me.

Again, if you can find these two products any cheaper please let me know. These are the next steps I am taking in making my 7th Gen Civic the fastest AT with bolt-ons. Thanks Yall!

your gonna need more than that to make it fast, especially with A/T..

umm but the setup sounds good..

Summit Racing carries alot of their stuff, so you might wanna give them a call..

But other than that.. i dunno

NeonImpact - i've checked summit racing...the thing that sucks about their online catalog iz that they don't catoragize by car/year/model...but I do know they got a lot of stuff...i'll check somemore.

VtecIvIc - as far as the motor mount shaving issue goes, I did not bother asking about a new Header design. You might wanna check out there website and get there email. They respond very fast to emails. Give them a shot!

I know I'm gonna need more than that to make it a fast AT. Did u see the list of mods I have already? Check my profile. Oh, btw, if I replace my SRI with my stock airbox and a FIPK II u think I will get back my low end torque? Keep the replies comin'!

Ebay sucks

the peepz who sell on ebay never have a real HP product...or that the picture that is shown is not even an HP Product...when I look for performance parts I'd rather pay a higher price and know I'm getting a quality product than to buy a product off of ebay knowing very well that the description doesn't match the picture. I'm pretty sure all of us are aware by now how the HP Header looks...and the headers that they sell on ebay aren't HP. But anyways...I need somethin' to give me a lil bit more low end torque back.

I was looking into the Helix TB Spacer...its only like $89...some people on the forums have it on there civics...I'm thinkin about tryin it out to see how it performs. Every little bit helps right? HOllA back!

An automatic will always be an automatic. And automatics dont adhere well to basic bolt ons. Honestly, your just going to be sacrificing your gas milage. Automatic civics are slower than a fatty trying to roller blade. In my humble opinion, you should just I-C-E your car out. Atleast then you can be a bad *** and get tickets from cops for being to loud as aposed to a ticket for "attempting to speed". But do whatever u want chief!

stock airbox and fipkII?? what do you mean. stock airbox with filter. but no gains with that at all. I didnt lose any power with my fipk, and I think other on the site didnt lose any low end power, but gained high end.

That's an opinion. There are many people on this site with AT and can beat the **** out of a MT without risking gas mileage. I admit that I would rather have a MT myself but to say that AT completely suck compared to MT is just opinion. No real evidence. Go race a AT with the same mods as you and see.

I would like to know how everything goes when you get the ECU and Header PaCiFiKbAllA. Those are what I had listed to add to my car in this year. Good luck PaCiFiKbAllA!

I said my Firebird automatic is fast, but the same setup with stick is even faster, buy about .3 seconds zero to sixty.

The differences are the final drive ratio and the loss of power through the auto trans, compared to the stick.

There a few cars whose automatics will outrun the comparable sticks, but those are especially setup for automatic performance, and they aren't Civics.

There is no doubt that trim for trim, Civic automatics are quite a bit slower that the stick versions when it comes to an acceleration contest such as a drag race.

ShadyMilkMan, I checked ebay today for that HP header...and I found one...but its not listed for $105.00.....its $150.00 and when u put that together with tax and shipping you come somewhere around $240-260, depending on which carrier is used. So in the end buying a new one cost the same.

Anyways, this post isn't about AT's vs. MT's or whose faster...I wanted to share wit yall what I'm doin with my 7th gen...I'm making my AT as fast as I can make it with bolt-ons (for now) because nobody else is. And there are fellow 7th Gen owners with AT's that are curious to see how an AT runs with mods like mine. And when a dyno shop is available to me, I will take it there and see how much HP my car is pushing with my set-up. HOllA!

Sorry, I don't have any answers for you. I just wanted to say good luck and keep us updated.

Try www.nopionline.com

The hp header is slightly cheaper. You can also choose where to buy it or pick it up.

Very curious also being that I own an automatic. With the Jet ECU, do you have to send in your stock chip or anything like that? I'm not familiar with that and am very curious. Keep us updated!

Please for the love of god people, stop writing in this internet lingo talk that has become popular recently, and write in normal proper english. They have done studies that these kids that are writing like this are starting to have a hard time in college writing papers because they subconsciously start writing using abreviations, slang, etc. Plus you just sound like you're some teeny bopper kid with no intelligence. Just stop it! It drives me up the wall trying to decypher your kiddie slang internet talk.
