The tornado....
Man, is this thing really effective "the tornado" for air filters??? is it really worth the $50. It supposedly dramatically increases airflow by creating some vortex or something within the intake piping that forces the air into the engine fasting causing more combustion... Is this a bunch of Sh*t or is it truly effective? What's your folk's thoughts?

I dont think it works b/c you after mrkt. intake is allready doing that in a way. Plus i just dont see how it could work or a least as good as they say it does, and you can see it on infomertials in the morning.

I have a ractive (wanna) tornado. It gave me minimal gas savings, give me minimal hp, maybe 1.... but... it's great on the throttle response..
that thing gives a great improvement on the throttle response.. thumbs up!
As far as the cost... I dunno, it might not be worth it to most poeple for a little throttle response, but I like it... I bet if you have a turbo it would be great though!!![Smile](https://www.civicforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Overall, the price is more along the lines of a 1/5 of an intake.. roughly 1/5 of the power or less of an intake (but throttle response), and it probably wont save you enough gas in a year to make up for the cost if that is the goal...
So for most, no, for poeple like me who'll pay 50+ for any small thing to help in the end.. I say go for it... it's got the same benefit a flywheel and crankshaft have, noone is the wiser of it...![Smile](https://www.civicforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
at least for me, until this post...

no they dont show any improvemnets, the throttle response and things like that arent affected, this thing isnt worth the cash in my opinion. It doesnt provide any gains whatsoever.

thats my junior college in the commercial, and my professors! hehe.
in the commercial they have dyno results that it adds power... i have my doubts though. maybe when i have some extra money i'll buy one and dyno before and after for you all.
reminds me of those electric turbos that you buy on ebay. its just like a vacuum that sucks air into the intake. i dunno about that...

i think its just a scam....putting a metal thing inside ur intake, wouldnt that just restrict the airflow? and how would spinning the O2 give it better smoother airflow?
