To: Generic Intake Owners~1 year and up

For the people with generic cold air intakes on their 2002 civic ex coupe, Stick Shift only:

1. How is the intake after a year? and did it damage anything in or near the engine?

2. How is the hp gain? and where can you feel it, low or high end torque?

3. Any generic intake recommendations that you have been happy with or just solid good?

4. Where can i buy this generic intake? and for how much?

Thanks in advance to the people that help me out!

CapYoda has a spectacular aura aboutCapYoda has a spectacular aura about
1. works fine so far (not a year though)
2. lost low end. definitely. mid-high range breathes better but you can't feel 1-3 hp increase if there is even any.
3. well I'll recommend, if you're getting a CAI, get one from a seller that sells the transmission bracket... so it'll be easier to mount. otherwise, they're all the same really. dont get the CAI with the small skinny filter. thats really crap.
4. ebay, yo.

ak can only hope to improve
Doesn't matter in our cars.... the plastic intake manifold still blocks massive airflow.

What matters though is the filter brand...and generics are not K&N.

no, the IM is still there, so no matter what intake you use, your not goin to get a good hp gain from it, 1-3 is about it,
