Injen Intake
I'm ordering my Injen Intake within the next day or two. I have a 2003 Civic EX Coupe 5-Speed. Is this the best intake I can get for the car from injen and is it a good price?
HRM, the link doesnt appear to work to this address (http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Des...odelDesc=Civic) It is the part number PTRD1566 from http://www.ptuning.com.

Most people will debate between injen and AEM for intakes. I personally like the Injen better because it sits inside the bumper and sucks up colder air. The AEM sits behind the radiator. However, Hydrolock might be more of a problem with the Injen if you live in a rainy area. I like Injen.

You will not be dissapointed with Injen. And as far as hydrolocking. You dont need to worry unless you submerge your car. injen has made the intake to resist water somewhat to a certain degree.

you can get the same injen intake here at NOPI.com for about $209 and that includes the shipping, so thats about $10 cheaper.
along those same lines, nopi actually had the lowest price for the neuspeed front strut bar for awhile (@$100). not sure if it included shipping. i thought surely hell had iced over after that discovery.

If you are going to get an Injen intake, (what I have), and you are worried about injesting water, i suggest you get a bypass valve, they aren't expensive, and they have a guarentee, that it will displace all injested water, before it ever makes it to the engine.
Bypass valves are made by AEM just incase you didn't know.
Only problem is, you lose a little hp with the Bypass Valve, i don't think it's anything monsterous and I don't think you'd ever notice the difference, and you'll be happy that you got it.
With mine, even when its just raining, the CAI will still suck up water..
Hopefully that helped!

It seriously has helped me before, and It continues to help me, plus my dad made me get it, haha... Since he paid for the car and I'm still only 17...
