Exhaust problems....please help!!!

i have a 2002 honda civic lx coupe 5-speed and i am looking for a cat-back exhaust. i am looking for a deep "bass" tone (not that ricey, cheap, high pitched wimper tone). also i am looking for it to be loud and noticeable. i was told that skunk2 mega power has a deep tone and some have told me it has a ricey tone. Anyone with a deep souning cat back exhaust please im me and tell me what you have.

i have an injen short ram intake and some people have had problems with it filling up with water and blowing the engine. comments???

does that electric turbo work?...lol....looking for a cost effective way to achieve HP gains.

How would a SRI fill with water unless the engine was submerged? i could understand the CAI filling with water but not the SRI.

Oh to answer the exhaust question get under your car and take a close look at your set up I think you will get a very cheap exhaust idea that in my opinion is the best exhaust for the 7th gen vic.

I'm telling you, you don't have to spend a dime to have a bad a$$ exhaust. But if you want to buy one and you want it to be loud don't buy the TCS that was not really designed for optimal performance it was designed to prove that you can stay under stict emmissions and still gain power.

hahahahaha
if you call 5 hp with intake headers and TCS then i guess you could call it power
hahaha, wouldnt waste a dime on that if you were going for power

It isn't a true twin canister desing anyhow. They have the twin can to keep the car a ULEV car. Nothing more.

As far as I know, there is nothing to do with emissions after the cat. Everything past that is sound supression.

Are there any nice, please note nice, not rice, sounding ones that aren't too loud, since I generally roll home around 4:30, and I'd rather not **** off my neighbors, and I don't really wanna ride neutral down my street.

It does that is why the stock setup is the way it is. If it was the true TCS design it would have been a bad a$$ exhaust

if you want a good sound, i suggest the DC SPorts TCS. 50 state legal, carb approved, cant go wrong with that. As for you SRI, dont worry, unless you are driving into a pond, your engine wont blow. If you want to get a little more HP with out the engine heat effecting your performence, buy the injen CAI with the AEM valve. No worries there if you get that.
DOnt buy that electric turbo crap, it doesnt work.

do you know what the aem bypass valve does? you dont need it for an SRI.

you can heard sound clips of the TCS in the threads above, "Exhaust Clips"

wouldn't a 2.5" piping on my honda civic be too big and slow down my car. i thought 2.25" was the ideal size for mperformance.

ok i must know this all important question.........will the skunk2 mega power cat-back exhaust fit on my 2002 honda civic lx coupe . if so will it perform the same as it would on the ex or would it prove to be useless.

the guy at some web site forgot the URL said that the skunk2 made this exhaust for the lx model. i didn't think so.

can anyone clear this up?

I don't think they made it for the LX. Also, 2.5 inch pipings isn't too big for our cars, you shouldn't go bigger than 2.5. I have the OBX catback exhaust system made for LX coupes. I don't need it anymore.
