Civic LX 2002 exhaust system help?
Hey guys im new to this forum and i was just wondering if anyone has good recommendations for an exhaust system for my 2 door civic LX 2002? Cant seem to find any exhaust kits at all for my car since most of them are mainly for the EX model. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, unfortunately for you most of them are made with the cat located AFTER the header. You COULD always replace your existing cat/manifold (I shall call it a mancat) with a high flow one under the chassis and then you could (and would have to) upgrade your exhaust manifold and pipes to your heart's content. It'll cost a bit more money (what with the new cat) but you can have similar results. Use this link to get started, but do some research! http://www.carid.com/2002-honda-civic-exhaust-systems/

If you have to pass an emissions inspection, altering the location of the cat should fail a visual check.

Check your local regs.

*cough* CARB *cough* I just got my emissions done and they just check the OBD here, didn't even glance at anything else. Considering that I always have my chip plugged in with Torque Pro, I might as well have donated my $15 to WSDOT.

Converting to an Ex exhaust is the best option for Lx owners.

Got to love CARB! OBD check is all they do in my state too.

You need to buy a new header (without the cat) and catalytic converter. IDK if you need a new (shorter) exhaust pipe but you're in the market for one anyway, right?

Looks ok but it all boils down to preference. I would look up reviews on fitment and such.

Here are a few video clips of Dynomax UltraFlo muffler and 12" performance glasspack instead of stock resonator. To hear the true sound, you need good speakers on your computer. It sounded deep and it is even deeper when under load driving around.
