It's not a MAF. How about an IAT?

Have you tried Google?

I don't use stuff like that, I normally have no problem with modifying wiring as needed.

If it were me, I would go to the point that the sensor pigtail (harness) comes out of the main harness, see if I can open up the main harness cover/sheath/wrap to give some more length to the wires, without damaging the wires or their insulation, and without splicing or using an "extension cord".

Re: MAF sensor

I HAVE THE SHortest ram....I just shoved my filter on top of the throttle body and zip tied the sensor on the filter... looks great , ran a little lean of course ..at first then it settled down ,or level off , the only thing that might be a problem is the air flow across it is not as concentrated as it would be inside the pipe...i hope its the temp. and not the speed of air that makes it work

Re: MAF sensor

quit being a deeb. rocker tappet, hood bonnet. We all know what he's talking about, anyway now that i've ranted, I just unsheathed some of the wiring to the doohickey that comes out of the airboxintake thingamajig. i was able to get an extra couple of inches of play. (that's what she said) when i put together my hacked together air intake. As for buddy that put his intake right on top of his intake manifold, I'tried that too. didn't seem to do anything, I think i took a power loss actually. The sensor thinger didn't read right and i'm sure the intake temps were higher. when i put the pipe back on i think i got a little better bottom end. just using my butt dyno.
