interchangable parts

interchangable parts Okay D17A6 is the same ngine as the D17A2 as far as I can tell. D17A2 is the EX model. Can I order parts for the EX model and put them on a D17A6 such as header, down pipe, turbo, and the like? And seriously what the hell is the difference?
