Re: muffler tip prices
fuffler tip??? or an axleback exhaust?? or a muffler?? what are u talking about??
These are muffler tips, and they shouldnt be more than $30 cause all they are, are tips..

This is an HKS, which is an axleback exhaust

The RS*R is an full cat back exhaust

This is just a Muffler

TIPS do nothing for sound, or performance, they are completely aesthetic.
Axle-back is alright for the money, but don't expect any performance.
Muffler is same as the axle-back, except it will sound ghey.
RS*R and all other exhaust systems all have different tones, and give you the highest performance possible for our little D17's.
RS*R is quieter than most, but like gearbox will say, after a couple of years its Db's increase.
But because you asked such a noobish question, i will give u the easiest answer now... "SEARCH"
if u want sound, you are gonna have to shell out more than $100, also look into a custom exhaust place, here someone quoted me 120 for custom piping, and an exhaust.

Lol you guys. There is more rice on the road then in any chinese kitchen. Steer him in the right way and tell him to just buy a prebuilt NAME BRAND exhaust. Or have a shop make custom piping and just buy a nice sounding muffler.
It's actually sad though because I have a Tenzo R muffler that MSRP's at $100 and sounds better then everyone that buys ebay exhaust. lol sorry I always love rubbing the fact my "fart can" sounds better the most people's "custom bent" exhaust.
Anyway if I were you and try to spend as little money as possible look on craigslist for local listings of used/new exhausts close by. If you are not sure whether it's name brand or not, ask a friend that knows performance parts and ebay isn't his biggest provider, and if he doesn't know then it's not name brand and most likely will smell and sound like burning rice.

Re: muffler tip prices
The secret to a good exhaust with all the best benefits for a good price, is to buy a name brand universal muffler and take it into a muffler shop, and have them do a custom bend to replace the entire exhaust. The bend should cost less then a hundred and the muffler could be like a couple hundred. Right there you have a full custom exhaust for around 3-400 depending on what you buy.
When I say name brand, I'm talking about brands like HKS, Greddy, Apex'i, 5zigen, Tanabe, Skunk2. All companies which make universal mufflers! Don't buy something like A-1 racing, or generic like that. If you don't know if it's a brand name or not, post it here and we'll tell you.
It's really easy to get it done right.

Hell with the little amount of ponies as is I'm for every extra one I can get. Besides the only difference in price so far is $60 for custom bend and a quote outta area for $100 mandrel bend
