I just got a weapon-r intake and i was wondering if any of u weapon-r owners knew of a good throttle body spacer for it.... thanks

I always thought that throttle body spacers restrict more air then help.

they technically suppose increase the velosity of the air coming in by spiraling it....making ur engine alot more efficient.

but to be honest, it doesnt do jack ****...all it makes is one COOL *** turbo spool sound.....



OBX or helix (v1 will make the sound, not v2) will make the "PSSSSSSSSSSH" sound....



if u install it tightly, and correctly, it wont hit ur hood...

i have a AEM v2 w/ a TBS.....and no problems...i just love the sound... =]




btw, for some reason, this forum looks down upon the TBS....on my other forum v6p.net every seems to like it...even though its jsut a sound....

I have a weapon-r dragon intake and obx tbs. I dont think the tbs does much aside from the "cool *** sound". It goes pshhhhh around 2500-3000k and then when I tap the gas or the car shifts it goes peechewww. I had the tbs installed with the factory airbox before and it only made a muffled peechewww sound which was alot quieter. Adding the intake amplified the sound like 5x and added the psshhhhh. Oh I have an auto btw the sound is starting to get annoying because I can hear it "spool" but then theres no power increase or anything

its a HUGE waste of money for a TB spacer. trust me i had one for a WHILE and YES the sound is pretty neat and full throttle shifts sound like a BOV. BUT it does restrict air flow on our cars. TB spacers were made for V8's and such. the spacer on ou car is just a restrictive noise maker! kinda like my ex g/f. HAHA. seriously DONT buy one! youll have buyers remorse for MONTHS over it. its a waste. if you want to do ANYTHING to your throttle body, bore it out or buy a bored out one. THATS worht the money. lol. especially if you plan on going turbo.

ive got injen SRI and its badass! SRI's are louder and better on our cars i believe. full cold air is actually restrictive.

did you not read what i wrote? its RESTRICTIVE! your gonna LOSE HP! not anything noticable but it IS restrictive and your throttle response will be crappy as heck and top end is.... not there. well lemme rephrase that... the top end is even slower than stock. haha. but yea it does sound neat.... ive still got mine that i took off if anyone wants to buy it? ill sell it DIRT cheap. gimme 20 bucks and pay for the shipping and ths thing is YOURS! its the helix one. sounds nice. all hardware was not included so i fabbed up all the stuff needed and will include it ALL.

I have an AEM v2 and my car dynoed at 110hp to the wheels. When I installed the TBS, I dynoed at 412whp. It makes a huge difference. best bang for the buck definitely.
