Hi-Flow Cat????

Whats going on everyone. I just installed my Tanabe Concept G exhaust this weekend and its great. Now, I was wondering if its recommended to get an high flow exhaust in replace of the stock one?? What do you guys think. And what is best for me to get installed. Anyone around the NYC area, where can I go to get the best custom job done?? Thanks everyone

Unless your going turbo there really is not point unless you just have money to spend you're better off putting that money to other mods. Stock cat does its job just fine and don't think it hinders performance that much.."Unless" your going turbo there's no need to change it IMO.

A high flow cat is a great mod to free up some mid-range and top end power, but you will become quite a bit louder on exhaust note. Random Tech makes the nicest one out there.

FYI-Random Tech is having a price hike in like 1-2 weeks, so I would suggest acting soon.

Keep your stock cat until you get bigger mods. Then you might as well buy a megan racing downpipe.

the megan racing downpipe is the downpipe with a resonator right? so it won't pass emissions?

Correct you'll get a CEL so you'll have to get an O2 sim.

Random Tech.

I have the Random Tech. Cat. I put it on after I put on my exhaust. The random tech cat freed up the revs, and the butt dyno feels it in themid-range and top end power. The exhaust did become louder but no much and it made it deeper. I don't have any high pitched sound anywhere in the RPM range. I have a Greddy SP2 exhaust.

I'm happy with the random tech.

Yes we sold tons of these units and they do improve mid-range and top end considerably. No check engine lights either. It is a true converter, not a resonator.
