Void Warranty
Void Warranty
Not sure if this post is in the right spot but I just wanted to know what aftermarket parts would void a cars warranty. I wanna put in a v2 but I'm not sure if that will break the warranty...I know headers and cams etc do void it but what about intake and exhaust, does anyone know? Thx
intake will not void warranty, exhaust shouldn't either, but I'm not 100% on the exhaust. Some intakes have C.A.R.B. numbers on them to make sure they void no warranties and pass inspection tests. AEM has them I know.

This has been cover numerous times.
There's a law regarding warranties.
I don't remember the name or have the link at this time.
Dealerships must be able to prove that the aftermarket part was at fault for your problems.
For example, you can't expect to get replacement shocks under warranty when you have aftermarket springs.Dealerships might be able to void the suspension part of the warranty or the whole thing at that point.
Tip: Make sure your car is back to stock when you bring it in for warranty service so they can't say anything.

Oh yeah, this has been covered a lot. Remember the search button is your friend. But generally I would think you would be safe with intake/exhaust bolt-ons. If not it is easy enough to go back to stock before you take it in.
btw the law is a federal law called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
