K&N FIPK II and HP Top portion header pass emissions test

Some people were wondering if the hp top portion header would pass an emissions test. It does. I have a K&N FIPK II intake and the HP top portion header and I passed my test today. There was no visual inspection in IL, however.

Just FYI. The FIPK II comes with a CARB exempt number. I don't think the header does (or if it does, I never got one).

this is in chicago only, almost all states have different emissions laws. it wont pass here in cali with out a shady inspector or a eo-carb# i know that for a fact.

as far as I know, CARB is a california exclusive thing ... hence the acronym ... California Air Resources Board ...

you should be okay.

there are some states that are starting to crack down as well. none as restrictive as cali but we all know that. and i do know why its called a carb #. that also shows that it is 50 emission compliant. he is telling us he did pass not asking if it will.
