OEM Muffler (01 vs. 02)

Has anybody put an OEM Muffler from an '02 model on an '01 before? I've read places that they're the same, but the pictures look a little bit different from mine. I'm just trying to get back to stock but can't find an '01 muffler. I'm pretty sure the '02 will work (both EX), but I was hoping somone had done this before (or knows someone that did), just so I can be sure.

Thanks in advance,
Bryn

They're interchangable between years, not chassis (Coupe or Sedan) and I'm pretty sure they're the same from the cat-back for DX/LX/EX, I know Ex has different Headers...

What about Tranny's

How about from '02 Auto EX to '01 Manual EX?

I believe that would work. Don't quote me though. I believe that as long as it's the D17A2 (Used in EX's) they're the same. I looked at the header of my friend's auto '02 EX and it looked to be similiar to mine ('01 Ex manual)

Sorry

Maybe I should have been more specific. I'm sorry about the ambiguity. I'm just talking about the axle back portion of the stock exhaust system. If you have access to both a '02 EX Auto and an '01 EX Manual, I'm wondering if this part of the exhaust is the same. If the headers are the same I'd think the rest would be, but you never know about slight mounting point changes under the trunk area.

Thanks for your help so far. I'll be sure to add to your reputation for the help.

As long as they're both Coupes or Sedans, then they should be exactly the same from the axle back.
