just some post preliminary thoughts ...

my car pulls more... feels especially better from about 7000 to redline. It feels better than it did with my DCRH/pep boys filter.

the pep boys filter is crap ... comparing it to the WR, it feels like a huge restriction.

aznboysrfr put the aem dryflow back on and see what happens

hmm, I don't really want to put it back on. I know it doesn't flow that well.

in my personal opinion:

wr > injen > pep boys > dry flow

okay about my ram air, i really don't think it will be long enough to reach the grill. now i'm also thinking about finding some 3 inch pipe from home depot and using that for alot cheaper. it just has to be tubing to clamp on the filter.

here's something interesting I found. Tons of info about velocity stacks:

http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1450472

Also be sure to check out b19coupe's post on the 2nd page ... he has a dyno of the Prototype Racing velocity stack with filter vs. generic ebay velocity stack with filter.

In all of this, I'm wondering how the SW1 compares to the PR Stack w/ filter.

I may have to include it in one of my upcoming dynos ...

too much reading, but it looks like the velocity stack is part of the intake pipe.

haha what are the chances, the wr has the cool cone thing that sticks to and covers your entire filter though. what is that first pic on the left on the back of the package? it looks like our engine bay

it looks okay except for the fuse box placement looks kinda weird.. does that ruin the velocity stack?

well when you accelerate fast like above 4k, it makes a psst sound when it shifts. usually only does it in first-->second and windows need to be open. i'll try to get it on video haha

nah .. what you need to do is take out part #2 that you see in the pic:

it'll flow MUCH more cool air into your engine bay. RS grilles work too (but I don't like them).

I need all the cold air I can get because my intake mani sits right in front there

that's ... interesting. Got a custom one made or something?

blah ... oh well. I think you would benefit from having that Honda one ... but one piece. Especially having it open in the area with the radiator cap ... would flow some nice air to your intake when driving ;P

I took my AEM CAI off for the winter and put on a ractive short ram and I also hear a rattle at idle now. Weird? I checked to make sure the intake was tight and also checked to make sure it wasn't hitting the hood. It is all good but I still have a rattle. A sri gremlin I guess.
