which aftermarket clutch would be best for a n/a lightly modded em2? i was thinking either the exedy organic single plate or the act heavy duty stage 1 would be best, but i wasnt sure.

Personally I wouldnt worry about getting a light weight flywheel if you are only street driving

I have an exedy organic clutch and act fly wheel for a d17, if you need it i will give it to you for a deal. Pm me if interested. They are both brand new, never used. Heard this was best combo for the street.

EM2jdm is an unknown quantity at this point
I have this set up for my d17 right now and the exedy clutch grabs so much better than stock but its a pain to drive it daily because i have the prolite flywheel. I wouldn't recommend this flywheel unless you plan to go all out N/a

Yup stock flywheel is best for daily driving. It is much easier to stall an engine with a light flywheel because they have less rotating mass.

yep its very easy to stall the engine but after awhile you get feel for the flywheel and get use to driving with it

This clutch is overkill for stock mostly stock engine. Good clutch, no questions. I have this one on my 03 Turbo D17a2. Clutch pedal is way heavier then stock. (69% clamping power over stock)
My stock clutch hold my 6psi of turbo (~150hp/150tq) very well, so I dont see why you need to upgrade in the 1st place.
Stock clutch kit may cost more then Exeedy, so then get Exeedy and train your left leg before you drop it in
As far as flywheel, you may get it lightened, but not much, I'd say no more then 20%, otherwise it will be hard to launch car smoothly and without over spinning clutch.

so what about the act stage 1 heavy duty with a 50% increase? im just looking for the most street oriented clutch available. my modifications are cai, catback exhaust, shorty header, and soon to be tuned safc2. thats it.

I would go with the exedy stage 1 ... it's less expensive anyway.

lightened flywheels aren't that big of a deal to drive with ... I have a 10 pound flywheel and I love it. I want an 8 pound one.

if you love driving then you'll probably like a lightened one ... if the car is just your daily driver, then stay with stock

The rule of thumb is - with just bolt ons - dont change clutch, uless you have to.
If you have to change it, then go with stock you can find good aftermarket clutch kit can be bought for less cash.
E.g. Exeedy kit cheaper than stock kit, so go exeedy. The drow back as I've said is a heavy pedal, but should you decide to go turbo later, with exeedy you already capapbe of pulling about 220whp no problems...
I hope I've helped you
