Is it to late for an intake?
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

intakes can be put on any running engine. They never harm engines, at least the ones from major brands, cause thats bad publicity and you know AEM and K&N and the others strive off of everyone knowing that their products are good.
So yeah get one. Youll lose some low end torque and gain some high end horsepower. nothing spectacular but its nice to have

stock intake is tuned to the engine. aftermarket might give you 1-2whp above 5k. so if you need that extra hp and you always drive near redline, go ahead.

sound is quite nice too. just embarassing when people say "with an engine sounding that good I expected it to at least move"

thats all the info you need
In case you already do not know:
SRI = Short Ram Intake... the filter sits next to the engine
CAI = Cold Air Intake... filter is away from engine, usually in the bumper cavity
