Magnaflow Exhaust

Ive seen both positive and negative reviews on ths site regarding the Magnaflow cat-back. One post I saw even said mpg gains of 5-7? Is this a good investment or look elsewhere. I dont want anything too loud, especially at highway speeds, and not a huge tip on the end either. Thanks!

I don't have the catback they sell but I bought one of thier mufflers

and it's not too huge or very loud at all. I just had a muffler shop give me a custom 2.25" pipe to go with it. I have not noticed any gains, but it sounds great IMO.

p.s. it does tend to drone on the freeway or while coasting (I tend to like that), but some people complain about exhausts that do that

and its not like any exhaust (for 7thgen) is going to give you incredible gains. if anything, id recommend greddy evo.

Apex'i N1 is my poison, but I had a magnaflow on my explorer and it was a great exhaust. Seems to me they make quality products. They have been around for a very long time. More R & D than a lot of companies.
