btw, where the bar attaches on the left side of the engine. what is under those 3 bolts? i remember i tried to ask where the pollen filter was and someone said it was behind the glove compartment. i'm guessing that's it?
thanks btw
thanks again gearbox!
i'm confused though, i guess i have a misconception that any suspension components would be under the car trying to enforce/stablize the chassis from there, i didn't expect the strut bar to be in the engine bay...
....live and learn
btw, what's that box that has that DC sports logo on it? i always wondered what that was....the ECU?
(i wish i knew more about the anatomy of an engine)

ya the blue bar is a strut bar. It's to strengthen the rigidity of your car....so there's less "flex" when taking hard turns.
The black box that says "DC Sports" is the fuse box... I just stuck the DC sticker on it
The pollen filter box is actually inside your car behind your glove box... you have to take out your glovebox and you'll see it.

the tb spacer are a complete gimmick for cars that are not tb injected or carbuerated. i have tried tehm on many many different cars because the company i used to wrk for sold them. on a 2.2l 4cyl s10 there was a dyno done and it gained .3hp and 1ftlb. as turboengineer said the origonal design was to add length to the intake runners. this means there is more air present in the manifold at all point because of the extra volume the spacer holds. that is about the only advantage it has with our injection method. in other words they dont work or if they do its such a minute amount of power its useless.

send it to www.maxbore.com and they will do as much as possible which is 3mm i believe.
gearbox...i was gonna PM you, but since were on the topic...ill just ask here. lol.
If I were to bore my tb, would it be pointless if I have an a1 thats not built? or does it improve performance regardless? I have 4-1 race headers, intake, and full exhaust, but that about the extent of hp mods. Thanks for your help in advance..
btw..that tb spacer seems like that stupid tornado thing they were selling a long time ago that you stuck in your intake and claimed to do the same thing....

no its not pointless. actually the only other mod i have now is an exhaust (getting an intake tomorrow, one that fits the tb better). A tb ported 3mm over stock is an obvious improvement. all it does is let more air in when the throttle is open when compared to stock. Now the only thing is with some pipe intakes that mount over the tb, the transition isn't as good as some of the others. meaning the pipe will be smaller than the tb and thus won't have the same effect. the one i'm getting has a mount that goes from stock 2.5 inch to 3 inch inlet so all the air can cram inside.
