i have an 02 lx and im going to buy an exhaust for it. i dont want to have a cat on it, and mine has it on the exhaust manifold. i was going to buy an lx exhaust and then buy the header later, but i was wondering if i got the lx exhaust, would i still be able to make it where there is no cat? thanks guys.
i know you can do the ex exhaust and buy the ex heeder, but i dont have the money for the header right now and i know if i buy the ex exhaust im going to go crazy just letting it sit there untill i get a header, i was wondering though if i bought the lx header would there be anyway i could do with out the cat on it? or is there no way.thanks.
Just buy an LX exhaust and buy a Kamikaze header. It does away with the cat. And you are in luck. I have a Magnaflow cat-back and a NEW Kamikaze header for sale. $175 for the exhaust, hardly used and has a brand new resonator; and $215 for the header which is brand new; or $375 for the combo!!!

If you get a APEXi worldsport 2 exhaust
It is made for an EX.
But you can buy an LX extention peice for around $120.00 from APEXi.
Or got to a muff shop and have them make an extention for around 20 to 40 bills.

or you can do what i did. I know you said you dont have money for headers...but look through the forums. I found my HP racing headers for 60 bucks. haha. Then I just asked some buddies that had full exhaust and came up on the stock EX midpipe and downpipe. I already had my HKS axleback so it wasnt a big deal. Then I put everything on....extended the o2 sensors....which is simple. and WHAM! youve got EX exhaust on an LX. Believe it or not...even though it was the stock EX stuff....besides the headers and axleback...i actually noticed a torque differemce...not a HUGE difference...but ebough that I didnt feel bad about spending all that time under my car. haha.
