D16 parts fit my D17?

maybe its just me, but if you're gonna put in the work to use parts from other engines, you'd think you'd be driven enough to at least do some basic research yourself before asking to have the info spoonfed to you.
^ He is right, but anyways, open wide! lower end will fit if you use the d16 oil pump and block off the dipstick tube, you end up destroking the motor back down to 1.6 ltrs. I think the valves are the same, springs will definely work. cam wont work. Im not sure about the cam gear. We can get all D17 kindsa stuff than has been extensively tested by crower, right down to custom cranks and all, why try to reinvent the wheel???

dot forget about the transmission. The d16 tranny bolts up, you just need to build a custom shifter and linkage. And im not sure if the stock axels are the same splines and diameter as the D16 one.
