Camshaft Tuning

One question about tuning camshaft. I was planning on getting the stage1 N/A camshaft. people from other forums are saying i dont need to tune this unless i get a stage2. What do you guys think about this?

I'd tune the timing regardless. There's no sense paying $375 for the cam+the money for installing it without getting the timing set right. If you have a VAFC or e-manage or something, just get it all done together, don't half *** motor work.

sure you don't NEED to. but there is more power to be had with some cam timing and AF settings.

not much. autos are very hard to make power with. But yea you would need cam gear and vafc tuning to see a difference and maybe 10whp if you're lucky with other mods. By itself prolly 5whp.

Save the money, then buy the camshaft with the vafc together. Don't half *** it.

not really. you still have to get the cam gear and vafc tuned separately ( meaning they'll charge you for both). The cam gear is for timing, the vafc is for a/f ratio.
