A few more Questions about car parts/mods??
I'm new to the civic world, and I have a few questions.........
My cars is a 2005 EX coupe
I wanna learn from civic gurus!!
1. whats the differance between Projector Headlights and my regular
headlights.
I know Projectors are showier, but I need something for highway driving,
something with distance.
2. Bulbs... my car has halogens, I hear xenons are brighter, is there a certain
type of xenon I should be looking for?
3. Backup bulbs, I hear I can get brighter ones that the factory bulbs, is this
true?
4. Seatcovers... I've looked through the so called "Universal" types, none
seem to fit properly. Are Civic seats a little different? Any suggestions??
5. Any suggested simple mods? I bought euro taillights, fog lights, tinted the
windows, replaced the factory stereo and speakers

1. stay away from projector headlights unless you want to do HID
2. If you want brighter bulbs for driving i recomend Silverstars (cost about $20 a bulb but worth the money if you ask me)
3.why do you need brighter reverse lights
4.there are a few companies that make seat covers that custom fit our interior but they can cost upwards of $500 for a full set. If you want new seats i say get racing seats or RSX front seats (yes they fit with little modding)
5. NO Euros, Fog lights if you want them, definatly tint the windows, and if you got the cash upgrade the stereo

Rep Power: 281 Projectors suck for distance. Don't recommend them unless you are going HID.
Ebay has some seat covers that are specifically designed for our seats. They're approx 50+ shipping. I'm looking into those right now for myself.
Simple inexpensive mods, I suggest painting pieces... If done right looks a whole lot nicer than stock and simple to do. Look at people's rides for a bit of ideas. Paint your valve cover, fuse cover, interior trim. Little things bring great joy... Look at my pics or soonercivic's pics in the member's rides section for a little idea on that.

Rep Power: 0 sell your taillights away. the stock 04-05 civic taillights are better. looks better. and do you have a 5 speed or auto? i would just stick with your stock headlights. dont get projectors unless you are gonna get HID lights. others mentioned that already. just keep the stock ones and black out the headlight housing. check my headlights out if you want. for the seats. dont get covers for it. get the two front rsx seats or civic si seats. they are really comfy. as far as engine mods go. simple bolt ons wont do much for d17 motors. but if you want then go for it. for intake get the k&n typhoon intake. one of the best intakes out for our cars. kamikaze header, HP racing header, megan racing header is all good. exhaust...skunk2 catback gives out pretty good power. greddy evo is good also. there are a lot of good exhausts. just search and learn.
