i have a friend with the TCS on a 2k1 civic and i loved the way it sounds, yunno, you cant hear it 2 min before u see it...i love it, i cant exactly afford it but i found a cheaper, yet subtle replacement for it, a Ractive muffler(not sure the model #) but its got a round cut tip, it sounds exactly the same, deep, sweet, mellow, not very loud, but noticably has gonahas....lol..the Ractive is only 159 while the TCS is what? like 400? 500? more? ok well lata

I think someone posted this before.. the chart is messed up, in the article it says that the DC Sports TCS adds 1.8hp, and the hayame added 4.2. The chart has the TCS and the intake switched... just FYI...

Interesting... I'm looking for an exhaust that's quiet when cruising and rolling down the highway, but makes some noise when you kick in the VTEC. I definitely do not want to sound like a hoard of freaking bees or a weed whacker. I guess I'm leaning more towards the TCS now. 4.2 hp gain is not bad for our cars.

I like the TCS 'cause of how quiet it is. I like not having people pullin' up and revvin' and stuff at lights. I have also been very impressed with the quality of DC Sports equipment on past cars. Peace.

I like the TCS for it's sound as well as that it is fully stainless steel and polished. Not that anyone is going to be looking at the underside of our cars, unless you just ran them over, but the stainless will last longer then the car.

This may be a little off topic, but I would take any dyno results that I see in mags like Import Tuner, Super Street, etc. (especially ones that are posted by a manufacturer) with a grain of salt. The only dyno results that I trust are the ones done independently by either a 3rd party of the magazine itself. Sport Compact Car is my favorite mag because it is always full of interesting articles and unbiased reviews. If a product sucks, SCC isn't afraid to say so (see their review of the Sentra SE-R).

If my next paragraph offends anyone, I apologize in advance:

On the other hand, I don't think I've EVER read a single negative review of a product in Import Tuner. Showoff mags like Import Tuner are all about show cars and show girls. The girl in this month's Import 2NR isn't even all that (personally, I like the Suburaru WRX-rated girl a whole lot better). In my opinion, Import 2NR needs to either beef up the literary content or go all-out to further extremes with the fast girls/fast cars concept. Doing both would be nice, but there seems to be a law of science that states the better looking the girls in a car mag, the less useful the articles are. In the meantime, unless the Import 2NR girls start showing some more skin, paying $4-5 an issue for a 60-page mag with maybe 4 pages of quality reviews, a bunch of photos from the latest Hot Import Nights, and 1-2 pages of so-so photos of the latest mixed Asian/White/Hispanic chick of the month just isn't worth it.

Just my $0.02.

htowncivicEX - I agree with you on the mags. I think SCC tells it like it is. It's one of the best magazines out there.
