Obviously i didnt dyno anything, especially on a Rodeo and one i was trading at that. It made a difference for me, but like i said no difference on the Neon. The negatives definatly out weigh any positives. I dont know if it made a difference in my friends camaro, that car was crap anyway. Not only did i feel more on the Rodeo from a stand still but i also had more passing power than before on the highway. I wasnt racing or anything, but just under daily driving conditions, it made the Rodeo a lil more fun to drive. Kills the bank account though with gas cost.

This won't damage your engine most likely. We have a knock sensor so as soon as this resistor advances timing, the ecu will just retard it again. So no difference. Only thing I would worry about is carbon buildup from running too rich. Put it on if it will make you feel good inside, lmao. I spent $2000+ on mods to gain 10whp. And now they're telling me I should have just spent $0.50 on a radioshack resistor? I don't think so.

i just want to know if it does what it says because it looks like a big deal in ebay, this kid been selling this for a couple of years now...and no matter on what make model car parts ur looking for he has like 20 billion links to this **** and its always with a difrent picture....and its like wtf this **** must be doing real good cus hes still selling that **** and people buy them...if i really wanted to boost hp on to my car id take the 7gs i have saved for my move to FL in about a year and a half. and drop in the k20..but even that i dont want in my car im keeping it single, non turbo, auto, getting the aem pully kit in red for looks, changing my wing, powder coating my wheels red, used oem carbonfiber hood, and prolly the cf deflector on march next year keeping it all show no go. like i have always have.. and what ever is left put it torwars the rest of the money. i wanna leave mass with @ least 15k for something better than a k20.....i want a house forget this hp thing its tooo much money and very high maintenance...helll noooo..... i want a home i can call my own...

does it work? on our cars, NO. Knock sensor retards timing to compensate for advanced timing, and making our cars run richer actually reduces hp. Case closed.

Nobody sues online cuz its pointless and a waste of money on your behalf. You cant get anything out of it.

On Ebay you can buy CC #s, social security, name, authorization codes, etc, etc for 20-50 bucks. And you can buy about 20-100 at a time for that money.

1 in 600 online fraud scammer people get caught. And they still dont have much to pay or do compared to something not online. Police wont help, FBI wont help, nobody will help you. So be prepared for a broken car, and no compensation for your troubles/problems.

I wasnt trying to be rude or anything. I dont know if it works, other people gave their answers on that. I was stating, that you wont get anything out of it, even if they say they will pay for a new motor. You still probably wont get **** out of them. Most people do not get in trouble for fraud on the net. Why, because no FBI, no police. Your local police wont help you, nor will the police from their city. FBI wont help you, just have to get a lawyer and hope for the best. But you still probably wont get anything. For internet crimes, they are more focused on CC/identity fraud. Ebay allows it, cuz different people sell them, they state you are buying a resistor in the ad, and you get what you pay for. They arent doing anything wrong, its the people who buy them that make the mistake. It states in almost every ad, its a simple resistor.

Good luck, but you wont get anything from them if your car messes up. I doubt they will even send you an E-Mail back.

ok, I am going to reopen this. If anyone posts useless crap, i will ban you.

This is what I am willing to do:

1. I will buy this chip for someone. Has to be a 7gen civic.
2. I will pay to have your car dynoed twice. One b4 and one after.

You can keep the "chip" if you want. But I want the official dyno reports mailed to me. U can keep a copy. You will not relaese the results to anyone untill I have looked them over. I want the name and address of the dyno shop and the name of the person(s) that did the dyno.

You will have to pay up front for the dyno, but I will reimburse you through Paypal +5% for your time. But I also don't want to have to shell out $500, has to be reasonable. No other modifications but the "chip" can be done after the first run.

I ordered one for my 04 Accord and will try to do the same.

If you are interested, do NOT post here, PM me plz with "Chip Dyno" in the subject.

PS. I can't be held responsible for damage to the car occuring from this "chip" or anything that happens on the dyno. You do so at your own risk.

I think a stock 7thgen should be used for this. If I throw that resistor on mine, i'm sure it will give more hp, since my timing actually needs to be advanced due to mods.

before anyone does this, I want to post. these chips do not offer much in performance. and what this chip does is fool your ECU into thinking your intake air temp is colder than it actually is. while this will offer maybe a couple horsepower (2-3whp at most) gain, it can cause damage.

I'll repeat that. fooling the car into thinking the intake air temp is colder than it actually is, can cause damage. the ECU pulls fuel and timing mappings from memory dependent upon many different conditions, including air intake temp. there is a REASON it pulls a somewhat less agressive mapping if the intake temp is warmer. it's to protect the engine and emissions.

you may not only fail emissions because of a mod like this, but you might also cause damage. if the timing and air/fuel mixture don't match the readings your ECU thinks you're getting, it's not a good thing. if you want to go against honda engineers and the fact that they give certain timing and fuel maps to match ambient air temp conditions, etc, then be my guest. but you will screw up something.

so the chip either does nothing and you've wasted your money, or it "fools" the ECU and can cause you to fail emissions or cause damage for a measly 2-3hp.
