oh yea. Tonight once I drove for a while, the car has more power across the entire rpm band. I think it does a whole lot better when temps are cooler. That pipe gets very hot. But I think its gonna make power. I'll prolly get a dyno run (no tuning) next weekend when I'm in chicago to compare. The 100whp was before. Intake will be new.

thanks I've been working on it.
Also it looks like K&N changed their design. The older typhoon had a blue hose coupling for the tb, and the filter was the xtream series with filter on the top. Mine's just a regular filter. Also the K&N sticker is different.

looks like the V2 with a curve and no larger piping
Same thing with the V2. When it's cold it seems to pull hard. When it's hot out the intake gets hot and car runs like a dog.

ya it gets so hot. And when I feel around, most is coming from the wire cover area. Maybe there is a metal one we can use as a heat shield instead of the plastic that says honda?
That pic of a fipk up there is strange. I thought they were plastic tubes? Or maybe yours is older. Same thing with the typhoon. They changed a few things.
