high compression pistons/gasket/rods...?
just curious if anyone has made high compression pistons for the D17 yet. i know race engineering makes low compression pistons... i know crower makes rods... anyone make high compression gaskets? wasn't crower working on a non-grind cam too? any cranks out there? i've been searching with no luck.
Didn't somebody try swapping pistons from the Civic HX into an EX a long long time ago and managed to squeeze out some gains but at the expense of a constant CEL light? If I'm not mistaken HX pistons have higher compression than standard DX/LX/EX pistons.
a girl a long time ago claimed to have switched GX (12.5) pistons into our cars ... but then again, someone found out that that person's identity (pic) was not truly who they were

theres people running mid 12s with sohc d16s with slicks. but thats not a fun street engine, unless you like horrible idle and gas mileage.
good thing low comp sohc motors take boost like a champ or we would be screwed.
however i dont think it would be to hard to get ~150bhp out of a good setup of pistons, cams, valvetrain, rsx injectors or return conversion and a good tune via emanage or aem, however i would probly run a oil cooler or get a new rad, because ya might run into cooling issues. still its a couple grand for 150 hp or a couple grand for ~200 hp with a good turbo setup, more if you build internals.

the other option i was thinking about was getting a K20a3 rsx/si engine ($900-$1500) and beefing it up with a strong crank, H/C pistons, strong internals with an a2 head and tranny. then doing a full balance and blue-print on it (gotta love my college's automotive shop). but that would cost a pretty penny.
