you have to have the sensor hooked up, you'll definately throw a CEL without that and maybe cause damage to your ECU if the plug under the car the sensor is supposed to go into gets wet....as far as the "fix" for the CEL, I just got the bastid put in tonight and it seems fine so far...but we'll see, i haven't driven much with it...but my CEL came on real quick last night after I put the pipe on and tonight I drove it just as much and no CEL yet *crosses fingers*

*UPDATE* No CEL
I bypassed the sensor by unplugging the senor that connects to the one closest to the rear. When I had drove for a little cel light came on. So I put the sensor back on without using any of the fixes that make the sensor stick out more. I just screwed in the sensor to the megan high flow cat and so far no cel light. Didnt even need to make it longer. Maybe its different for all cars. The fix-up was not needed at all. I think those are only for si and rsx.

btw this cat makes our cars sound like ricers. In low rumble, below 3k rpms it sounds more vroomy, but high end 4k+ it willl sound very ricey. Sounds like those old accord fixed up with coffee can exhaust if you know what I mean.

did you get it yet. buy the megan racing one. im telling you its awesome. you will feel very good gains from this unlikes other bolt-ons.

bad thing is that the exhaust fumes will stink up the ***. if you have windows open and revving! then you can smell it from inside the car and also, the raspy noise only kicks in when vtec kicks in.

I highly recommend the megan racing downpipe. I paid 48$ picked up about 15 miles down my house brand new. If you want the power, buy it now!!!

well i didn't notice the power difference you did, i really didn't notice much at all...if any unfortunately....what other mods do you have?? maybe that's why i didn't notice a difference

i did notice the different sound, which i don't really mind, but i'm not getting the bad smell that everyone talks about...my CEL is still off by the way with the spark plug non foulers fix, it seems to work pretty good....

ok, im gonna do that. thing is no drill so I gotta bum off friends drill again which annoys me to ask him over and over again. Anyways, there is a bad smell dude, stand behind your exhaust and revv and smell it, then you can smell it good.
I felt so much gains. It revs faster and longer.
Read my profile, you will see everything I have. I tested the cat without nitrous and wi th. both ways was pretty worth it for what I paid.

thats why you gain. your getting rid of that factory cat which holds the air unlike this one. It wont make air better just leave it straight through design. I dont know how all these people using this isnt gaining anything. Probably because they not running a catback i/h. I noticed gains right away.

Mine only came on the day i installed it, and once while i was on the highway, then never came back on after I turned the car off and turned it on the next day. When the CEL was on too, my car never went into a "limp" mode so I dunno why people are saying that.

the mr high flow cat will make a big difference in sound dude. You will definately notice it. I love the low rumble, but when you hit vtec, it will always sound raspy. Below vtec sounds like a mini muscle car.

there's definately a difference in sound, i wish i would have noticed the power difference you all are talking about, but unfortunately i didn't, maybe it's because we all have different setups....

it could be the fact that i'm using knock offs....but you'd still think i'd notice a difference...there may have been a difference, i just did so many mods all at once i really didn't have much time to mess with it and run it alot...i was also so concerned with my CEL right after I put it on I didn't worry much about the power, i just wanted that damn light off...my CEL is still off by the way with the spark plug non-foulers fix....that's a $6 well spent...and as soon as i got the CEL off I put the VAFC II in...so...there was probably a difference...I was just so caught up in other things...I may have missed it....

I doubt I'll have results to post. I didn't dyno my car before hand so I'm not sure what I'll have to compare to, when I get it dyno'd I can post what my results are at that time....

I dont mean I felt gains of 10+hp. I just felt some kick to it. And with nitrous, it very noticable. Best way to check is on the freeway. Go like 80 swap to 4th you can tell then. Thats what I did with all my bolt-ons to test it. Of course I tested on streets too, but the freeway is where you notice it.
