It's not that it will be bad, but i's wasting your money. Our cars were designed at max proficincy with 87 octane LOL

Ok, well prove to me that over time my engine will fail because I upped the octane lol
Edit: I think it's mabeh adding the octane combained with a number of other things...

Thbe higer the octane the higher the spark and heat to burn it all. Our weak ignitions and low compression arnt gonna do it. I'd put money on it that a dyno with 87 against a dyno of 93 (MA) the 87 would be higher.

^^^there's several ways of measuring gasoline "octane" ratings.
There's more energy in a gallon of 87 than there is in a gallon of 91 or 100. There's no need for it. All the higher octane gasolines do is resist detonation more. Unless you've got a reason for it (High compression or boost), its a waste of money.

If you really need to fight off detonation, such as you are running good compression and a alot of timing advance with your nitrous, then sure run up to 103 (highest octane unleaded fuel) otherwise stick with 91/93, as reccomended by your nitrous kit manufacturer I'm sure.

looks to me that you've already been proven wrong, my friend.....read the posts after urs then maybe you'll start to consider knowledge of others.
And i never said that "an engine would fail"
first, we all need to know which car is this fuel going into. seems like everyone is assuming you want to fuel your d17 civic with race gas and whatnot.
