Those are just like universal filters you could use with an intake or something. Worth a damn? Most definitely NOT. If ur looking for looks, I think they are ugly, and performance, hell No!

Actually...there was a thread on here a while ago where a company actually tested all of those filters and found that foam filters are better then paper filters when it comes to filtering.
Paper filters had more airflow which obviously resulted in worse filtration then a foam filter.
BTW... if you want a foam filter, GReddy makes a nice one.

The reason they don't have better airflow is because there is way less surface area. If you don't agree with me, think about spreading the foam filter out on the ground, then doing the same thing with the accordian style paper filter. Which one has more material?

^^I believe the mushroom top was orginally started by HKS... alot of the high end cars like Supras and stuff used them, but then people started mto otice they tend to harden up pretty fast and then they break apart... so alot of people stopped using them.

If hks didn't have their name, they would've been out of business a long time ago. Here is how well foam filters.

Gearbox, why do you say that, they are still one of the leading aftermarket companies out there because of their tried and true R&D. Many of the top tuners use parts from them lol. You'd be hard pressed to find a supercar that dosent have some HKS part on it lol

i'm just saying for their filters. They are pure crap and their name is the only thing backing up junk. Hopefully their other stuff is better.
