Using AEM engine management
Has anyone been using the AEM engine management system in their vic??
Also AEM has not been able as yet to get the multiplexor system in our vics to work with their engine management system,(so the AC and temp guage wil not function) . So my question is if I buy the AEM engine management system and some time down the road they fix the problem with the multiplexor in our cars, will they upgrade the software for me for free??
I don't see a email address on AEM's website to send them an email asking this question...

The EMS for the 7th Gen is not out yet. When released (early Feb) it will be able to run everything in the vic except the A/C or the Coolant Gauge. The A/C could be made to work by running a wire to the EMS but the factory switch puts the info on the multiplex bus.
When available it will be the 30-1070 or the 30-1070U. The "U" has an internal wide band UEGO (AFR) controller built in and the sensor included. It will be marketed as the RSX Swap ECU but also works with the vics. The D17 basemap is already done.
But nobody can get one for $800, not even the largest wholesaler.
And if (I wont say when) there is a later version that works with the multiplex system, there will not be an upgrade path available for your current EMS. There will be no multiplex hardware on the board so a software change would not enable the communication. But, AEM software upgrades are always free anyway.

The validation dyno test of the base calibration data that will be supplied with the EMS is posted on the AEM website.

Actual prices are set by dealers but I would assume the same price as the 30-1040 & 30-1040U (OBD1) or the 30-1050 & 30-1050U (OBDII) ems's.
A quick google of the part numbers should get you a ballpark of what shops are charging.
