how long it takes to install this?

I finally got my megan racing down pipe in today. All I need to know now is how much it costs and how long it takes to install this thing onto my car. Anybody know?

does it bolt on?? or do you weld it???? If it bolts on it is only a matter of unbolting 4 bolts and bolting the new one up. If you have to weld it you should take it to someone, unless you can weld, in which case I doubt you would be asking this

if you know what your doin it wont take that long first unbolt the o2 sensor from the cat (you'll have to take the heat shield off) then all you have to do is unbolt the cat from the header with the two tension bolts, then the three bolts that connect the cat to the resonator. then your cat will be hanging by the lil black ******** just take that off and your cat will drop then do the steps in reverse with the downpipe.

i did mine in about an hour, but i have HP Racing 4-2-1 headers to HP Racing Cat so its alil diff. but the steps should be the same.

if you have a lift available it takes 10 minutes, but yeah, with no lift, hand tools, and a couple rusty bolts mine took 45 minutes to an hour ... Of course, I had to stop to smoke a couple times ...

Yeah, you also need a nice little o2 sensor tool from auto zone, I finally got mine off without it. It is a royal pain though to try and do it without the tool, if I had gotten the tool when I did mine I could have done it alot faster. Also if you dont have a mil eliminator your cel will come on.

i installed my exhaust like in 30 minutes
!. lift the car with towers if u have some or some really good jackstands dont use the factory one is dangerous
2.spray a lot of wd40 or something like that b/c those bolts are really tight
3.unbolt them both midpipe and rear section
4. mount and adjust the new one make sure nothing is touching
5. mount rear section make sure everything is adjusted
6. clean up
7. lower the car
8. smile
9. drive

well i had a megan racing downpipe, and then i took it off for my turbo. and thank god for the turbo kit, cause the freakin downpipe made my car sound so raspy. and loud, ****, if you could hear yourself think in the car it would have been nuts..but i guess thats what happens when you dont have a cat or a res. to a apexi n1 muffler. but now after the turbo kit. dam it sounds so nice. now it sounds like it should. all motor too loud for me. turbo is very nice.
