The 05 Type S's are K20Z1 because the block has been modified. They added (or moved) a motor mount. The 05 Type S also has better cams, larger diameter intake/exhaust manifolds and exhaust piping. Some have been saying that most parts are from the Type R... I would'nt be surprised.

If you wanna go swap+f/i, get the k20a3. If just a swap then get the k20a2. Too much $$$ for the k20a esp w/ shipping and everything.

Hey. I am a member on the www.Honda-Tech.com forum and yesterday I was on the section for the EP3 (civic si) with the K20A3. You really should check out that section. Those guys are pretty easily pulling out 300+ HP. The engine is totally worth it. It's cheaper than the A2 and underrated. Do yourself a favor and go look.
