whats the best exhaust for a 04 lx civic coupe???

There are so many and you won't gain much. Maybe a few hp. Go by the sound and looks imo. Thermal is deep and low toned with a sleeper look, rsr is even more like stock, and greddy sp2 is pretty nice looking. Stay away from ebay mufflers and stuff. If you like angle exhaust, hks has a rear section for us. The 04 should be the same as older lx coupe models.

check ebay, they sell name brand exhausts all the time for less then $450.

My thermal sounds like bass almost. VERY low toned and it's only a rear section. Stealth catback costs around $500 I believe from www.ptuning.com
