K so i'm desperate
As some of you know i got in an accident and now i'm broke til i get my settlement, and i'm trying to find SOMETHING to make any difference at all, does taking out your spare tire make any difference and i think i know the answer but i just want to make double sure on this one and yes it is funny but my friend thinks it would help, i have a tornado fan that moves 84 cfm, he wants to mount it on the end of my cai, i laughed and told him it would do nothing, i was right, right?
Weight reduction does help, and the spare tire is around 30 lbs or so. Don't do that fan garbage. It won't help suck in any more air than your intake already sucks in.
Remember, the only real way to make your car faster will cost money. If its a Civic, it can't get much faster

I dont agree with zzsovergnxx, I have seen sf turbos on our civics and they make a pretty big difference from stock. YEs I know its a civic and yes it is a fuel ecconomy car, but you have to work with what you got! The air fan idea I wont go with, if a piece were to every break off it would get sucked right into your throttle body, possible causeing you to remain in a open position. I would look into sf, or someother kits that they make for our civics before placing a fan in a intake tube.

my friend was talkin aboot putting the fan on the end of the filter, so the peices would just fall off, but i pretty much slapped him for even thinkin it would work
Dont tell him about this eBay p.o.s. gimmick:

you buy one of those (people have paid up to $100 for those things)
and attach it to your filter. instant turbo!
How much did he pay for one of those Tornado air things? When it was getting popular a few years ago, the ads said you'd save gallons per fillup. It was $140 for a Civic sized one. You can make those out of aluminum pop cans... The other other $139 must go to the engineering and marketting work of it all.
Like I said before: the only real way to make your car faster will cost money.

wtf is wrong with people with computer fan and car intake.
and yeah the tornado is one of the heavier duty COMPUTER fans out there, for those that dont know.
and for you to know that its a COMPUTER fan.
you know what, nevermind. go ahead and do it. I'm sure there's little chances that your install will be anything but perfect, and the fan blades wont somehow snap off and fly into your throttle body.. and you can use your settlement money to fix your engine.
anyways you sound like you were joking. then you went and say something else...
