That's a great idea. I bet you could just put some dry ice around the fipk heat shield. Won't work as well as the actual intake version.

I'm sure it would. It's like driving in winter. I think it's like every 10 degree drop in temp gives you 1% more hp?

Yeah, it's not a dramatic increase. A buddy of mine built one for his 5.0 mustang. Pretty cool looking, but other than that, it wasn't much help. I think the weight of the thing actually ate up the horsepower he gained...buahahaha, I hope he doesn't read this.

its around the pipe. the air doesnt go through the ice, it goes through a cooling chamber.

interesting idea, but i think its too much of a PITA for the effect that it would have.

WOW - $375!!!!!! I can MAKE one for a lot less than that....

It says it can cause an inlet temp drop of 40-50 degrees!!

In a civic, here are the specs they tested at:

It will probably be good for 1/4 mile runs becuase you can refill it. but for the street or anything else, its pretty dumb.

Yea, but that is a B16a not a d series though. so i really don't think we can get 11.2 out of it. Maybe 5-6 most
