quiet/sleeper/low pro mufflers

hey everyone,

recently im working on my exhaust set-up and so far i've installed my megan hi flow cat pipe/resonator. now what i wanna do is catback/exhaust from cat to muffler. so far i been looking and researching about low profile muffler canisters.. meaning by not too attractive and loud.what i've found so far are es oval muffler/flowmasters/magnaflows/rsr ex mag (catback only ) so if anyone out their knows what a good low pro/quiet/sleeper style muffler out their, please let me know.

im making plans for 2.25' custom piping onto a muffler.
any help/ideas/comments/opinions/thoughts are welcome

if you want your car to sound bad ***, keep your oem exhaust and get a cold air intake and headers.

No exhaust will sound like stock. The thermal rear section I have even gets bassy at times. I'm only keeping it on for the looks.

If you have a coupe, stock exhaust with OEM tip replacement looks really nice without making noises.

Try to get something thats coated black and with some sort of small shiny tip.
I think the RSR is like that? I'm not sure. But it won't attract too much attnetion I think.

i was looking for a little performance too since i plan to get custom piping with it. what im trying to do is to replace everything so when the time comes (smog checks), its possible to replace everything back to stock. so i cant go custom piping with the stock muffler.. and plus that'd be kinda odd
you guys know what i mean right?

I'd listen to the RSR advice, they make a nice universal muffler that will meet your performance requirement and most likely have the lowest noise profile of any after market muffler...

RSR.

it wont reflect in anyone's face.

www.rs-r.com

this is one exhaust I'll recommend. although no exhaust is worth their 400-500 price tag, this is a good one.

511 bux for the EXMAG system... not cheap by any means... anyone know of any value mufflers that are also noted for their subtle sound, just as an alternative for people that can't drop over 500 bux on an exhaust...

My TCS is pretty quiet but I'm unsure of the performance. Seems like a lot of turns and shiat to be any good.

I don't know who keeps yammering on about this universal RSR. Never heard of it, never seen it. All their systems are made for a specific car... right up to the tip, so it fits in there like a stock exhaust, not like a universal fart cannon on car specific piping.
Either anti-up the $500 for it, its worth every penny, or get something cheaper. I don't see an inexpensive way to get an RSR.

I agree, RSR EX Mag (that's the right one i think), WS1 or WS2, and I guess I'll add my Thermal R&D to the list. The Thermal is VERY quiet as well.
