Does anyone know whether there is any real mechanical difference between the AEM V2 for the LX/DX and the one for the EX.
I've got the LX/DX one but I think my UKDM 2001 coupe is more like your guys' EX.
It pysically fits but i just want to make sure before I ruin anything.

the v1 is not the same, AEM actually made 2 versions one for the lx/dx and another for the ex...I dunno about the v2, might be the same

The length of the pipe and the angle should be slightly diff, thats why they sell 2 ver, one for lx/dx and one for ex.

if youve ever seen both the ex and lx model. youll notice differences. the ex model will not fit the lx and vise versa, unless you do some cutting.

Does anyone actually know for sure.
1) I'm pretty sure the UKDM is an EX, it has all the toys and the slightly more powerfull D17 vtec lump, AC, ABS, EBD etc.
2) The packaging on my V2 says for DX/LX models and AEM have a separate part no. fot the EX
3) The kit physically fits

all I want to know is
1) Is it allright for me to put it on
2) Would i be better off with sending it back and getting the EX one, bearing in mind i'm in the UK and shipping is a pain in the ***.

Obviously best place for the information would be here or AEM but I have no contact e-mail address for them and don't fancy calling them from England
