Arrow throatier exhaust sound

i was wondering, is there anything that i can do to my car to give the exhaust a throatier tone? (besides buying exhaust parts)

I dont know how you could make your car a throatier sound without exhaust parts. If you add a cold air intake, it gives it a pretty good sound, but I think you will need exhaust parts. I had just a cold air intake and thought it sounded pretty cool, but then when I added the DC Sports TCS, it gave it an even deeper throat sound that I really like. I cant wait to add a header to it, although it may be way to loud with it

Any thing that flows more air through your engine will alter the sound of your exhaust...So a larger bore TB, PnP, cam regrind....all of those will get more air going through your engine and hence will make you exhaust not only louder, but most likely deeper as well

get a test pipe or a high flow cat. Take out the resignator(sp?). A header will help as well.

well, my ride has a Skunk2 catback, AEM CAI, hi flow cat, DC header, and I cut out the resonator in the exhaust.... not only is it throaty, but it is SOOOO loud.... everyday I leave for work, I set off 2-3 car alarms in my apartments ... 8) the Megan hi-flow made a HUGE sound difference, more so than the header ...

Yeah, after I had my P&P done I noticed a difference in the sound of my exhaust...It was much deeper...I have the DC TCS and it already sounded good, but it really is deeper now. I'm planning on getting the World Sport 2 soon just for a change...It should sound awesome...Not loud, but really deep with my P&P
