problems with my lip kit
hey guys got a question i just my kaminari rear lip kit and i pre-installed it today before it goes out to paint. so heres my problem my tanabe medallion exhaust is touching the bottom of my lip kit so i need to know when i get it painted will the exhaust make the paint start to bubble and if so how can i fix it. does the muffler shops have hangers that can hanger lower or something thanks.
u have a couple options. I have the same problem with my rear lip.
1:step on the muffler and strech out the rubber hangers(they may break if u try too hard)
2:Find a shop and look for longer rubber hangers that will let the muffler hang lower
3:take it to a muffler shop and have them extent the muffler and make it hang lower.
4:dremel out a curve around the muffler so that it doesnt touch. If it is touching it will most likely melt some of the plastic.
these are all i could think of for now, but u def dont want ur paint to get messed.

my Skunk2 hangs very close to the rear bumper and they paint is bubbled, burnt, and discolored .... I also melted the curve in my bumper plastic all over my muffler ... I was at AutoZone today and saw longer hangers in the muffler section for like $5 ...
