i got the AEM SRI replica ebay intake (well it sold as a CAI but i just used one pipe) it sounds nice but as far as performance its a filter on a stick so... it doesnt do much for performance, maybe a little nothing noticable

They will do fine, like import2nr said, it's a filter on a pipe. Same with generic mufflers, they're all a straight through design. It's not going to be a huge noticible gain, but you'll sound like you have something under the hood.

well i did get one of those intake on Ebay and i think they are not worth much... quality is really bad and they don't fit right.. I then got an Injen CAI and it's worth every penny more!!! quality and fit are perfect!! Just a heads up

if u want u can buy mine from me, i got it a while ago, install for a few week, its pretty good it works well, just that when u compare to AEM you can see big difference. the sound of AEM is damn louder, but hp gain is about the same at least it feel like to me
if you are interest in i still have in my room

with my Injen i fell a big defference after 180km/h! it just keeps pulling.. with my ebay intake it tops off at 190km/h didn't want to go faster... and it did broke off after a couple of months too so... and you can't beat the sound of an Injen or AEM!! sweet!!
I have one of the $20 intakes from ebay. Its cheap and the fit isnt perfect but for $20 it sounds really cool and the car pulls a little harder, like a little little little harder. I just like the little gulp noise it makes when you blip the gas and the hiss when you turn it off though lol
Dont waste your money on AEM or INjen....they are the same thing as a generic ebay one-if you know how to use ebay and know what to look for in a product you can save alot of money. Anyone who says that their aem "pulls harder" or has more "pic up" is full of ****.
i always say you get what you pay for ....
I wouldn't buy a $50 intake off ebay just because it won't be the best ... and thats $50 less i could spend on an AEM.
I personally wouldn't EVER get engine stuff on e-bay ... i would want something tested and proven ... because I want the best for my dollar

I bought a generic one for $30 and I have no problems with it. I see absolutely no point in buying a $200 intake that makes no power. I bet my ebay intake sounds as good as an injen. I have an injen filter on it.

You live by your mistakes. Some people have spent 200 dollars on a inake that does the same thing as the 30 dollar intake on ebay. It is all in your head. If you can only afford the 30 dollar intake then buy it. Who cares. Its your car. If you think the injen intake is going to give you 30 horsepower in your head then more power to you. Bottom line is that all intakes are just filters on a stick. Think about it. I'm done

its the name of the intake and the reputation they built, yea its true you will save money buying and intake for 20 bucks, or buy one that is made form IJEN or AEM etc. for 200 bucks, its just the NAME, ur paying
The only brand name intake I would consider buying is a K&N FIPK 2. From what I hear those actualy make some power. The only thing I dont like about my EBAY intake is the filter. Its just a cheap crappy one and I really dont trust it but a filter is a whole lot cheaper then an AEM or injen SRI.
The ebay intake doesn't fit right, my hood actually hits it and it's as far down as it can go. No gains at all either, actually hurt the performance of the car. I used to be able to take my friends Nissan truck with no problem, now he can ride my *** all day and night without flooring it.
