This thread is funny. I wonder how many people who are criticizing intakes have an exhaust that costs twice as much as an intake and that adds 4-5hp? Not dishing on people but just seems like there's too much bashing going on here.

I got an intake because of the increased throttle response mostly (compliments the ACT flywheel and clutch nicely), horsepower and sound were not on my mind....

The intakes aren't really bad per se, it's the stock intake on the ex that is already so free flowing that it doesn't leave much to be gained. Same with the ex's exhaust system and header.

Take an intake and put it on an accord and you will see a worth while gain.

Anyhow, in the end, i/h/e should be bought more for looks and toys than performance.

intruder: exhaust is more important than an intake. If you have a lot of flow going in, you gotta have flow going out, otherwise you will have shitty top end power. And u have to have an exhaust if you are spraying or boosting ...

i know its different for some cars......like the rsx type s gets a good like 5-7 hp outta an intake, cause they have a more restrictive air box

and yeah, you have to have a bunch of mods working together for them to perform to the best of their ability like aznboysrfr said

I have the V2 on my stick Dx. You can feel and hear the difference. I can't wait until I get DH-Racing's bored throttle body next month. Finally, an advantage to having the non vtec DX motor!
